Highly motivated Data Scientist and Ontology Specialist with a PhD in Computer Science, specialising in semantic web technologies, ontology engineering, Internet of Things (IoT), AI, and Big Data Analytics. I have proven expertise in developing and implementing ontology-based frameworks, knowledge graphs, and AI-driven systems to enable efficient data integration, analysis, and real-time decision-making. I strongly advocate for FAIR principles and have a track record of developing scalable, industry-relevant solutions in complex, data-driven environments.
I hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science, the culmination of a rigorous exploration into the dynamic fusion of semantic web technologies, complex event processing (CEP), the Internet of Things (IoT), big data and machine learning. My doctoral research focused on crafting a pioneering framework designed to revolutionise real-time analytics within IoT environments. This framework aimed to detect complex events, analyse real-time IoT data streams, extract actionable insights, and empower data-driven decision-making through the seamless integration of semantic web technologies and CEP algorithms.
Complementing my doctoral studies, I possess an MSc in Software Engineering and a BSc in Computer Science, forming a solid foundation for my professional journey.
My expertise extends beyond academia. At the University of Bradford, I actively engaged in shaping the next generation of tech enthusiasts and professionals. I played a pivotal role in various courses, including MSc Advanced IoT, BSc Internet Technologies, MSc Mobile Application Development, and BSc Computer Architecture and System Software. This experience refined my ability to translate complex concepts into engaging and accessible learning experiences.
Furthermore, my tenure at the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) was marked by impactful contributions to space technology research and system development. I provided instrumental technical support to the Head of Department in Engineering and Space Systems, leveraging simulations to optimize space technology systems. My role also involved fine-tuning software and hardware components crucial for the enhancement of space technology equipment.
My passion lies in pushing the boundaries of technology, leveraging expertise gained from academia and practical experience to drive innovation and make meaningful contributions to the evolving landscape of technology.
